SANY Wind Energy India Obtains ISO 9001 Quality System Certification

On April 2, a piece of good news came from Sany Wind Energy India (the subsidiary of SANY Heavy Energy Co.Ltd., its full name is Sany Wind Energy India Pvt. Ltd.) that it has successfully obtained the ISO 9001: 2015 quality system certification submitted by the Global Management Certification Service Group. It means that SANY Wind Energy India has reached international standard in the integration of various management systems, and will continue to provide customers with efficient services and quality products.

 

In early 2020, a sudden epidemic swept through the world, while the certification of the production system in Sany Wind Energy India was at a critical stage. In order to keep normal operation of this certification and minimize the impact of the epidemic, the Indian and Chinese team worked hard together through online communication and coordination.

In late March, after reviewing the quality management system, the expert group from Global Management Certification Service Group unanimously agreed that SANY Wind Energy India already met the ISO 9001: 2015 standards. In the final audit stage, the expert group audited all the materials through video conferences and issued the certification later.  

Due to a huge potential electricity demand, India is the fourth largest wind power market in the world. Its total installed capacity is now around 37GW with an annual installed capacity reaches 2.4GW. However, they are planning to realize 60 GW of installed wind power in 2022, and 500 GW of installed capacity of new energy in 2030. Therefore, the acquisition of the ISO 9001 quality system certification of Sany Wind Energy India not only shows Sany's advantage in the Indian market of providing local customers with high-quality products and services, but also has a very significant meaning to Sany's internationalization.

The international business of Sany Heavy Energy grew rapidly in the past two years, and achieved breakthroughs in Africa, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, India and other markets. In October 2019, SANY Heavy Energy signed a 1GW wind power project with Uzbekistan government, and successfully completed the wind measuring tower. At the same time, its team completed the penetration of the first 100MW turbine project in India. Meanwhile, Sany Heavy Energy is conducting a 200MW wind power development project in Vietnam.

Although the epidemic affected all industries in the world to a certain extent, Sany Heavy Energy will cope with all the challenges and move forward to comprehensively accelerate the development of international business.
